Care Companion ("the app") is built so that your health information stays with you. This policy explains exactly what happens to the information you put into the app.
Everything you enter is provided directly by you: profile names, appointment details (title, doctor, location, date, time, notes), medication details (name, dosage, instructions, schedule), and a log of doses marked as taken.
All of it is stored locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage. Care Companion does not have a server or backend of any kind. Nothing you enter is transmitted off your device, uploaded, or shared with us or with any third party.
Care Companion does not require or offer account creation, sign-in, or any form of identity verification.
Medication and appointment reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using your operating system's local notification system. No push notification service or external server is involved, and no notification content is sent anywhere.
Care Companion does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, and we don't try to.
We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose any information, because we never receive it in the first place — it never leaves your device.
You can remove a person's profile (and their appointments and medications) at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of its data from your device.
Care Companion is intended for use by adults managing their own care or the care of a family member. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children — in fact, we do not collect information from anyone, as described above.
